Through interactive lessons and creative activities, students can explore topics like waste reduction, litter prevention, and protecting the beauty of Sevier County. Each resource is designed to encourage critical thinking, environmental responsibility, and a deeper connection to the places we call home.

Together, we can empower young learners to care for their community and help keep Sevier County beautiful for generations to come.

AMERICA'S 250TH ANNIVERSARY

As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, communities across the country are reflecting on  what it means to be a citizen. Freedom provides rights, but it also carries responsibilities—including  caring for the land and places we share. In Sevier County, protecting natural spaces is especially important due to our proximity to  Great  Smoky Mountains National Park and the millions of visitors who enjoy our region each year. Environmental stewardship is one meaningful way citizens can celebrate America’s history while  protecting its future.

Keep Sevier Beautiful's "250 Years of Freedom & Responsibility" lesson plan, tailored for community groups and the grade levels below,  can be a tool to get adults and students alike thinking about the impact we have on the American landscape and how we can all come together as a community to make a difference.
