HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE

WHAT IS HHW?

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) includes common household products that can be harmful to people, pets, or the environment if not disposed of properly. These materials may be flammable, corrosive, reactive, or toxic.

Examples of HHW items include:
  • Cleaning chemicals and liquids
  • Mercury thermometers or thermostats
  • Motor oil and automotive fluids
  • Pesticides and lawn chemicals
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Propane cylinders
  • Antifreeze

To help ensure safe disposal, please review the list below of what items are acceptable and not acceptable at our facility.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Latex paint is not accepted at this site.
Latex paint can be dried out by mixing it with kitty litter or another absorbent material, then placed with your bulk household trash.
